And why do you say 'peace be upon Him' every time you mention His name. He from the start is the peace that we need. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. The peace that He gives is far more different than any peace that this world can offer. Even to the point of death every people that have accepted Christ truly in their heart have gained that kind of peace.
Paul, the apostle, in the brink of death and in chain for preaching the gospel of salvation that Jesus brought here in this world, was still singing songs of praise to God. That is the peace that God can make to every men that accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour of their life. He even said 'To live is Christ, to die is gain'.
Do you know Paul? Paul, a jew, having a name of Saul in the previous life, was one of the persecutors of Jesus Christ followers. He was one of the cruel leaders of the jew that hunted and killed Christians (follower of Christ). Paul being a jew knows and believe that there is one God, I agree, and that is very true even in the days of Adam, Noah, Abraham, etc.
Here is one encounter of Jesus with the jews then when He was preaching the good news of salvation.

As you can see here the jews was not really mad at Jesus for the many miracles He made ( healing the sick, making water into wine, casting out demons, etc.) but they are mad for they can not believe that these man they see in front of them claim to be God in the very way He said that He and the Father are one. You will not say abdul, that you and allah are one for that is blasphemy in your belief. And IF you were a jew at that time, you are one among those who will stone Jesus.

It's christmas time. This is a tradition that people celebrate because of the birth of Jesus Christ. But who is Jesus Christ? Do we really know Him? Who is He to you? Why as a baby He wants to be killed by King Herod? In christmas traditions, men give gifts to their loved ones. Yes 'loved ones'. But have you ever thought that Jesus gave a gift to people who are not loveable in our own standards like murderers, thief, malicious thoughts, liars,etc. yes also liars.
Men acquired sin because of the disobedience of our first parent, Adam & Eve. and because of that disobedience the curse of being sinful in nature has been brought to people generation after generation. For it says in
Romans 3:
20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Psalm 14:
3 All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
People in the olden times were forgiven through intercession of the prophets who offered the best sacrifice like lambs and other livestock ask by God from the prophets, in the days of Noah , Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua and other prophets of God.
But through Jesus, with the love of God that He gave to the world, the Son of God was slain in the cross of calvary so that we may have life. Not just a physical life that we see here today but a life that we will share with Jesus in God's Kingdom, free of all the burdens that this present world brings. And in Jesus, being the Lamb of God, the full sacrifice was done so that the shedding of His blood on the cross was meant to cleanse each one sin, to those who will BELEIVE in Jesus name and the sacrifice He made in calvary.

Understanding the Gift.
Some people don't really know or in self denial what what is in store for them when they die. But deep inside there is a fear in them , in their consciousness regarding the certainty where their soul will be after their term here on earth finishes.
Our God did not just create our first parent, Adam & Eve, to bear children just to live and die physically and to worry & have that fear when the time comes of our physical death.
Yes some say enjoy life and be merry for tomorrow we die. Yes, but there is still that question where we go after.
Even suicidal people are afraid. They commit suicide not because they are brave to face death but there is fear in them that led them to commit the ungodly thing w/c bring forth destruction in their relationship with the Holy God.
Fear that is not from God is Sin, And in nature, men are sinful and the wages of sin is death.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, ....(this is not just any death, for in the nature of men, be he bad or good, living here in earth will die physically. The death that is being mentioned here is spiritual death where our soul will suffer the eternal punishment in hell for those who did not believe in that One Holy Sacrifice OfGod)
...but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE in CHRIST JESUS our Lord.( So there it is. Again the Gift.
And the Gift is Eternal Life in Jesus Christ)
If you are accepting God's Gift of Eternal Life , believe in Jesus , receive Jesus as your personal Saviour & Master in all areas of your life. Yes. All. Repent. Surrender all of your sin and all weaknesses that Jesus wash it by His blood. Pray to Him. Talk to Him. After accepting truly that Gift, the Holy Spirit w/c guides us to the way of God's salvation will counsel us to His truth of righteousness.

This world, our body, our riches that we hold on to will pass away but our inner man (soul) will eternally exist. The question is where? Is it in eternal death in hell or eternal life in God's kingdom.
You can't say that this stuff is not a thing to talk about coz you can't escape the reality that we will go here one time or the other. Men can't predict the span of his life. Faith and Deeds
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.
16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.
24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Do you yearn to experience the Lord’s comforting presence, power, and wisdom? That’s good, because God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you forever.
The problem is . . .
. . . one thing separates you from a relationship with God—sin. You and I sin whenever we fail to live by the Lord’s holy standard. In fact, Romans 3:23: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Furthermore, Romans 6:23 explains that the penalty for sin is death—separation from God in hell forever. No matter how hard we try, we cannot save ourselves or get rid of our sins. We can’t earn our way to heaven by being good, going to church, or being baptized (Eph. 2:8-9).
Understanding how helpless we are because of our sins, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to save us.
Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sinless life, and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins (Rom. 5:8). Three days later, He rose from the dead—showing that He had triumphed over sin and death once and for all.
So how can you know God?
It all starts with accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.Jesus Christ provides a relationship with the Father and eternal life through His death on the cross and resurrection (Rom. 5:10).
Romans 10:9 promises, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you have not yet begun your personal relationship with God, understand that the One who created you and loves you no matter who you are or what you’ve done. He wants you to experience the profound depth of His care.
Therefore, tell God that you are willing to trust Him for salvation.You can tell Him in your own words or use this simple prayer:
Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. Thank You for providing the way for me to know You and to have a relationship with my heavenly Father. Through faith in You, I have eternal life. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and loving me unconditionally. Please give me the strength, wisdom, and determination to walk in the center of Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.

My outright answer is no. We are born to live forever and that is God's plan for us in the beginning as written in the Bible. To live a life to replenish the earth and rule over it in God's way. But sin had come thru Adam and Eve, our first parent, and death came in. In the olden days(old testament) a prophet of God has to offer animals to God so that the sin of man can be forgiven.But man continually sin.
In His great mercy God (new testament)sent His only begotten Son that whoever believes, receives and accept Jesus as Saviour the promise of everlasting life would be given just as Jesus has conquered death in the cross of Calvary.
Through the sins of Adam and Eve sin has passed to us like a virus.We are sinful in nature (Romans 3:10) and to attain that everlasting life we need to have that grace coming from God thru His Son Jesus Christ. It is a gift being offered to us and it is a privilege that we must accept if we truly want to live a life that is acceptable to God's kingdom.
You would not want a stranger to stay in your house. To do so the natural thing that a man will do is he must be a friend first to you before you let him enter your abode. And his action in your household must be one that is acceptable to you. It is just the same in God's kingdom. Know Jesus and have a relationship with Him through His words in the Bible.
